The Hellenic Investment Center succeeded in freeing nine investment proposals, valued at 872.5 million euros, from bureaucratic deadlock. Four of these investment project proposals are for tourism enterprises.
The Apollo Golf & Spa Resort proposal, amounting to 250 million euros, was held up until issues were resolved regarding land use and archaeological site designation, and the expansion of the Volos city plan.
The Arkoudi Island project, an investment of 100 million euros, involves the development of 4,000 stremma with accommodations, marina, spa and a golf course and foresees the creation of 300 jobs. So far, 1,300 stremma of the property have been changed from the forested area designation. Another project freed up from designation as a forest area is the Greenwell project, valued at 270 million euros.
Finally, for Air Sea Lines to expand its seaplane network to serve the Ionian islands, an investment of 90 million euros, a joint ministry decision was received that enables the use of Patra port waters by the hydroplanes.
